Watch Dogs Legion, Gods & Monsters and Rainbow Six Quarantine delay will help take “full advantage” of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett

During a recent earnings conference call, chief executive officer Yves Guillemot revealed that the recently delayed Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six: Quarantine, and Gods & Monsters, would be cross-generational releases, meaning all three titles will now be released both on current generation of consoles, and on the upcoming PlayStation 5 and Xbox Project Scarlett, which are due to arrive in the 'holiday' window of 2020. That's between October and December of 2020.

"The five titles, yes, they will be on this generation and the next generation, and they will take full advantage of all the new features that are coming with the machines, which are actually going to be extremely interesting for players," Guillemot said. "You will be able to download new content a lot faster, players will experience better framerates there are lots of very good elements that will come with these new machines."

Alongside Watch Dogs: Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine, and Gods & MonstersUbisoft is also planning to release two additional AAA games from its “Biggest Franchises” on both generations in the 2020-21 fiscal year.
